Yeah! 60 visitors in a day =) I do look at my stats and it's lot like I'm getting paid but it's nice to know that a page is active and that people are actually visiting just to see what's up =)
So yeah, I have been again on Google Reader and been catching up with random news and events as well as people's blogs and posts. I've been really interested in reading the boyfriend's old posts and such as well. Of course my feelings for him won't be based off these posts since these were written before we got together each other =) it's only fair. So now I'm thinking what if you were to look back into someone's past and find out that they killed someone or has a record… would you still treat them the same or given them the benefit of the doubt because they've been treating you with the utmost respect and TLC that you can ever ask for? I've asked other people this before but it was just a passing thought =) (Something I learned from Pacific Seminar 3, thanks Pacific).
There are a couple of events happening with dance teams, battles, and just other things that are happening. Josh C. is in town and I'm gonna get some information for him to do and have try to make time for down here since he wants to take workshops and such.
So yesterday I was in Long Beach the whole afternoon and night just cruising and visiting a dance team. It was good times along with an awesome time at Signal Hill. I find myself asking a lot of questions just to get people to talk and tell me something and ultimately to learn something that I haven't known before. I'm still waiting for the pictures. I got home in time to get Winnie's comment about heading out to Janet's Birthday but I got home around 10pm so I didn't know if it was going to be one of those late night things but nonetheless I was really tired and I had no ride =\ so hopefully next time.
I got to visit Mookie yesterday too and he was seriously nice enough to look at my MySpace status and he texted me to make sure that I was alright. We got into a conversation about my disappointments and later that night when we Jonathan and me went to the SickStep house to pick up his sweater, I got into a conversation with Mookie about what we were texting each other about. I hope that it didn't stir Jonathan's emotions in any way about anybody but I still take nothing I said back… not that I'm trying to get anybody on my side either to see things the way I see it but it's nice to know that someone else agrees with me and where I come from when it boils down to respect, appreciation, and just being open and friendly to everyone. It makes me sad that people say that they have a love for music and dance but they criticize and look down on others who aren't sharing the same similarities and interests as they do. Yeah… the people who I've supported and given props to are now growing up to have such big heads or they're getting too caught up with the partying that they're neglecting their responsibilities as well as their origins—you were never in that position so take time to remember the struggle and realize that's what those who envy and look up to you are also doing.
What's funny is that I'm not even jealous or in a position to want to be in the fame and recognition state as some of my friends. So I'm just on the sideline watching things move along and this is just in my opinion. I'm not trying to compete at all. As a supporter, it just turns me off to see such behavior. Reminds of the workshop thrown in Stockton where I said, "if we're both trying to bring hip hop to the city of Stockton, why should we compete when we can work together and make such bigger events?"
Don't you love it when people ask for support but they don't turn around and do the same thing? I agree that not everybody agrees with everything but even if there's something that I don't agree with and don't wanna support after my friends supported me, I would totally try to help out in any other way.
(shrugs) maybe it just makes sense to me.
