So I'm going through my list of followers on twitter finally and it wasn't until I noticed that MC Viet Thao is following me… I can't tell if he's the real deal but my parents do watch this guy and I used to work with him before when I was in middle school. Also, my uncle has worked with him being on the camera crew for various shows and such… so it's like I'm reliving a moment right now back in my teen days. Holy crap, almost 10 years ago lol.
Anyway, twitter… yet another social network where I can't fully use to socialize and speak my mind without offending anyone or ruining my image with producers and workers… primarily MySpace is where I keep in touch with the Dance Community…. Face book is where I mainly keep in touch with my residents; housing officials, and apparently employers who look to there for references and such Twitter is an open network… we'll see what happens.
A lot of people have concerns and have talked to me about keeping my stuff on private. As much as I do want to keep things on private, I feel that it opens more opportunities for others to see my projects and works as well as status with projects. I'm no movie producer, I'm no famous pop star, I hold no importance role in the state's office… but I've been definitely getting more network opportunities as well as comments from companies wanting to work with more moreover than enemies or people spying on me who are all talk and has yet to step up to my face. So my benefits really outweigh my potential danger here. I'm still playing it smart and researching my network and sources and I'm not trying to front and image or trying to prove anything to anybody. I don't think I'm better than the next person who has the ability to talk. I'm just proud of where I've gotten myself in life as far as socially with businesses and ties to better opportunities.
Ugh… back to work.
