dry & bitter entertainment

1. people with strong opinions
me, "what's your opinion/stand point on this?"
friend answers, "well... (rolls eyes) yeah"
me giving a rebuttal to their strong opinion
friend, "oh... (silence)"

i don't take strong opinions lightly. i just push my friends to see if they can stand their ground =) and i laugh when people get butthurt and think i'm attacking them. if you're honest about your feelings and really do feel a certain way about something, why do you get mad if I'm just trying to have you confirm your thought? some people just can't hold up a good debate or they're too sensitive, i feel like... boo... definitely not the people who i can have a good time around.

I thank my junior year English honors class for prepping me for learning how to argue, give, and accept constructive feedback =) my debate topic was against my best guy friend at the time, topic: does video game violence promote violent behavior in young, adolescent minds? good times.
2. people who ask for advice and then get over it themselves
when friends talk about something they don't like or are annoyed of and then say, "oh well whatever." Meanwhile, i'm sitting there just listening with my full attention and all I can do is look at them and smile cuz the devil inside me is thinking, "wow s/he was just totally talking to herself/himself just now without asking for my opinion or advice and just got over it... how the heck do i respond to this lol"
my outward response: "=) you're funny"
3. discussions about the weather.
and that's that.
lol people who just talk to me about the weather and don't follow it with anything such as their plans that may or may not be effected are amusing. i don't really care to have u tell me that it's really sunny out today, or if u think the weather sucks, or if the rain is such a burden blah blah... i just think it's cute that folks can rant a lot about the weather when we know we don't have control over it =)
it's such wasted energy and i just want to shuffle their hair and smile
