Some things I found in my notebook

I was looking for scraps of paper and this is what I found from when I attended a leadership conference not so long ago:

Realize that when you're choosing to look up to someone, you should fuel their fire to keep them going and not just leech off their resources.Realize that you should give in order to get, starting with a simple compliment. Students/mentees can surpass the teacher/mentor, yes. At the least, you should thank your mentor for their influence.
just some words of inspiration i guess.

i like how i can sit back and realize those who said that they once looked up to me but stopped cuz i looked down on them and now they're only doing what i just did by looking down on others.

"we see why you didn't like him and said what you did now"

yeah... from when i said those things about a particular person until now, i have kept my mouth shut and haven't interfered. it's nice when others realize what i notice in other people but i don't like how it took them so long to realize it. not that i'm always right but it sucks thinking that this other person could have been leaching off my friends just as much as they did with me and my friends were used for so long before realizing it.
